For now it kind of follows the idea that the retention/upgrade rate is better than World too. Which kind of fits the more hardcore playerbase. The fact it says 2.5m in Q1 points to the opening weekend basically being identical to Iceborne in the end. It must have been quite a bit above 2m when the milestone was reported.
We need another dataleak, lol.Very cool. I'm so curious about what the Japan/ROW split is. We knew early on that retail Famitsu/MC numbers would be practically useless. This could be the first Monster Hunter where we legitimately never learn how it did in its domestic market.
Or for Gibson to just drop the ratios on Twitter. We need another dataleak, lol.
DDDA seems to have been chugging along pretty well too. Switch version especially looking at eShop charts.

Capcom using Nintendo reporting methods lol. Great legs so far.The fact it says 2.5m in Q1 points to the opening weekend basically being identical to Iceborne in the end. It must have been quite a bit above 2m when the milestone was reported.
Thank god I was wrong, happy about this success.I would like to know the split. Looks slow with PC included.
Healthy sales result with updates, holiday season & Capcom back catalogue sales to come. Plus, the fact that PC users are happily buying two Monster Hunter games shows it was the right call.500k for Sunbreak in two weeks is great legs, it's by far outpacing Iceborne with PC help.
Still more interested in where this ends up in the end.

Valstrax fast?it's selling very fast, but not so fast to enter time travel-speed!
Just gotta get hacking.Dying to know how much the Switch/PC split is! I wonder if they'll ever say. Either way, fantastic numbers. The endgame systems they added in Title Update 1 should really help its long-term sales, too. It was exactly what the game was lacking.
They dont share the splits for other multiplattform games, dont think there is a reason why they would change things up in this case but i agree it would be interesting to see. Outside of another kind of leak, which i dont want to see happen, its unlikely though.Dying to know how much the Switch/PC split is! I wonder if they'll ever say. Either way, fantastic numbers. The PR said 11 million for RiseWhat’s MHR up to? Unless it’s sales suddenly accelerated sunbreak is rapidly heading towards a ridiculously high attach rate.
We're now at the equivalent of the Iceborne PC launch milestone.Platinum Charts out. Sunbreak off to an explosive start and everything else legging well.

.....… ?This is a formidable trend, the PC fanbase really showed up.
The future will tell us if Capcom took the right decision to develop a console exclusive title for the Switch but we are inching towards a positive outcome. Taken in a vacuum, it's already a considerable success.
I wish Rise + Sunbreak success would lead to a RE console exclusiveThis is a formidable trend, the PC fanbase really showed up.

So on the Capcom July 5th PR, Rise was at 10 million - now (a month and a half later) Rise is at 11 million, very very nice.
Isn’t it a lot for a game this old? And they still have a lot to push with more DLC.So on the Capcom July 5th PR, Rise was at 10 million - now (a month and a half later) Rise is at 11 million, very very nice.

He is trolling right?I wish Rise + Sunbreak success would lead to a RE console exclusive
Also is Rise now one of Capcom's best selling titles to date?
This seem to be a continuation of 'we don't know if Capcom can justify resources for a 10m seller on Switch' despite the game outselling pretty much every non MHW Capcom game ever.He is trolling right?
I don't know, but I thought the bulk of Rise sales came from switch, before the PC ver.He is trolling right?
Why does it matter? You can’t play Sunbreak without Rise so getting the bundle is buying one of each and counts for 5 million separate sales no matter whatI'd imagine there's some doubling up of numbers happening somewhere. Maybe they're counting the MHR+SB set as a Rise sale (taking Rise to 11 million), and also as a Sunbreak sale (taking Sunbreak to 4 million). The catch being that there's obviously some amount of overlap. (Ie; it's not 5 million "unique" sales.)
Really wish we had a cleaner split of what SKUs/platforms sold how much. The changes to reporting between World and Rise are so confusing.
They are "double counting" but due to the way the Sunbreak set is positioned (Rise cart + DLC Sunbreak code) it doesn't really encourage repeat purchases in the same way Iceborne ME (combined World+Iceborne on disc) did for some World owners.I'd imagine there's some doubling up of numbers happening somewhere. The result of day and date PC launch and Nintendo dragging the Japanese gaming public kicking and screaming into the digital age.Iceborne needed 1 week for 2,5m, 4 months for 4m and 6 months for 5m.
Sunbreak needed 1 week for 2,5m, 1 month for 3,5m and 2 months for 4m.
7.7 million is the known number of Switch sales, before the PC version launched.I don't know, but I thought the bulk of Rise sales came from switch, before the PC ver.

For all we know it could be at 11.3 million now , since they just use their usual over x million in the PR I think. It was at 10.3M at the break of the fiscal quarter (30th of June)
So the PR was kind of selling them short :>
Still, gotta see the final final numbers.
I am interested to know if MHR is the highest selling single version of MH on Switch. Maybe we will find out.
