still surprised by the recent shift in SW-PS5 position in the HW chart here (thanks for the "comuniones" explanation guys!)
SB drop as expected, surely Peach has sezier legs LOL (as it obviously was gonna be, it's just a joke)

Peach is higher than the last known Mario VS DK number now right? Despite opening the same. It seems to be showing great legs in numerous markets.

@CaVaYeRo It is nice to see you here again, could you tell us the year to date 2024 % chance for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.
These were the numbers for week 18 2023:
Switch: >9.000 (2.500 ZOLED) / ~120.000 YTD
PS5: 5.500 / ~142.500 YTD

Using numbers from Cavayero's article, in 2024 Switch has sold so far ~95.000 (~ -21% YTD) whereas PS5 is at ~126.000 (~ -12% YTD).

Sure, article updated with both that and a bunch of impressive LTDs for some games.
Thanks for the LTD updates!! ACNH must be well over 1M with digital.

thansk @CaVaYeRo , Spanish charts are becoming the most interesting ones after the Japanese ones, thanks to all these data!
French ones too, at least about Nintendo, with NoF year end interviews lol

I didn't expect sales to be so close to the Switch and PS5 in 2024.

Could the price be the problem or is the Sony console already close to its limit?

Would be very interesting to see the split between the different switch versions.

Big thank you to all who keeps the numbers coming.

A big big thank you. I can hardly believe that the PS5 has been around for almost four years. Time sure flies.

Nsw just started to go into huge sales too right around that time? Covid
The 178th week on the market for Nintendo Switch was week 30, 2020. During that Summer 2020 (July and August) Switch was averaging 8.000 units per week.

since spain is only place i regularly see rog ally tracked, saw they are coming out with a new rog ally, the rog ally X. Supposed to have at least 2X battery life (they implied the low end will be at least 2X the current 1.5 hrs on AAA). Achieved mostly through a bigger battery. but not much else new, it is not the rog ally 2. seems will have >16gb ram also? not sure why, thats plenty imo. these arent even as powerful as current gen consoles.

interestingly, asus said they werent aware consumers valued battery life so much, more than weight and other factors, until they got that feedback from the ally 1. so i guess they say they learned its ok to make it heavier for more battery.

for their sake the price better stay the same!

ally sales seem poor, even much poorer than steam deck. but i presume these are like psvr. as long as each hardware unit is nicely profitable, a low volume is acceptable.

Never expected Sea of Stars > Octopath Traveler II even if it’s only retail in Spain. What are the best results for retail indie games in Spain?

Great start for Sea of Stars, also because the game is available digitally since many weeks/few months!
it seems to me that Spain is a very receptive market for retail versions of indie games

It realeased digitally in early august last year. Very remarkable for it open so big despite it being over 9 months old.

Great to see updated sales breakdown for a bunch of smaller games. Really highlights the strength of the Switch market too when it comes to these types of games.

I wonder if Spain is one of the stronger markets for Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX. I suspect it might be.

Hades only 130 on PS4?? Is it correct?

At least in USA the 93% of phyisical sales of Hades were on Playstation platforms.

No, it was 93% in the UK and only for it's launch week against Xbox (7%). And this for a total of around 2500 units that week.

Nintendo distributed the Switch version in both America and Europe half a year earlier, it's exceedingly unlikely that's not the best selling version in both markets and not by a small margin.

Yes, surely PS5 version already surpassed Switch version because Nintendo didn't restock the game after the first batch.
Hades PAL ES is one of the most valuable Switch games on second hand market right now.

Edit: After reading the Vandal article (Top 9) and asking for confirmation, there was a typo with the numbers of PS4 Hades. It missed a 0.
