Lack of software numbers is quite noticeable compared to previous years.

At least they were a lot of rankings.
They even give a yearly PSV top 10.

In January and february 2017 Nintendo market share was an impressive 0% for the "console" market while it was 100% for the "handhelds". x)

2017 was the come back of Nintendo.
After years of bad results they finaly have a sucsessful enough console and this was only the beginning of the Switch succes story.

For those who whant sales of dead and burried console:

Xbox 360 - 20K
Playstation 3 - 10K
Wii U - less than 5K

No monthly breakdown.

For Xbox 360 it's the 13th year with sales ahead of 10K.
Not as impressive as PS2 selling 50K in 2012 (it even sold few 1K units in 2013) but still a very long run.

Found impressive how 360/PS3 outsold Wii U by that much.
Wii U remaning stock was non-existant in North America while they were still few units in Japan and Europe.

Metroid Samus Returns outselling Fire Emblem in the US make me think worldwide sales of Metroid are not that far from 1M.

I think you are severely overestimating the sales of FE. It was a NES remake that didn't bother changing map design, it really didn't sell very well.

Yes. Historically December was much bigger than November but part way into 7th gen Black Friday became more of a priority for pushing deals so the difference between November and December has shrunken massively, even with December having an addition week.

After 2 years and few months, the road to KH3 is renewed by the one true tensai. 2.8 and 1.5+2.5 charting for multiple months as expected. As for 1.5+2.5, it had already released on PS3 and yet it still did nearly 200k in 1 week. The power of the tensai. Wish there was a bar to gauge 2.8.

@Welfare Noticed you didn't capitalize the "MIX" in ReMIX for KH 2.5 in the 2014 thread then repeated it in this thread when you originally did it for 1.5 in the 2013 thread. Just pointing out if you want to correct that since you have, for example, "NFL" correctly in caps.

You both are forgetting the one true tensai, Tensaiya Nomura, started the year with KH 2.8 on January 12 in Japan, which released 2 weeks later in the West. 2.8 was originally suppose to release in December 2016, but was pushed back a month to not release right after Final Fantasy XV, which had gotten delayed and released on November 29.
