GT Sport actually launched during an extremely busy period - Assassin's Creed Origins, Super Mario Odyssey, and Wolfenstein II launched a week later. Call of Duty WWII, Need for Speed Payback, Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, and Star Wars Battlefront II launched during weeks after that. Safe to say GT Sport had a lot more competition than GT7

PS5 SKU was below Mario Kart on the units chart and it ranked low on the March chart in Germany.

No this is just like in the UK the result of a PS5 restock and bundles.
How does a restock make Elden Ring fall off of the chart?
Think they are referring more to H:FW re-entering the charts.

This may actually be an indication that the two games are, in fact, competing directly. If an open world game like HFW is bundled with a PS5, then it causes a drop in Elden Ring sales. Since bundles aren't a factor for PS4 software sales, the PS4 version of Elden Ring continues to sell well and actually charts above HFW.In the PS5-only chart, Elden Ring has a "huge" drop
