Amazon full month rankings: #16 Xbox Series S $299 (Amazon full month goes from January 01 to January 31)

Xbox Series S is in stock at GameStop, Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon, and Target.
Target began selling Xbox in stores again October 17. On any day they could sell units.
Looking at January after December's massive list of retailers is kinda sad, but understandable. Amazon didn't even have a PS5 or Series X drop this month.
Beyond this roundup, we know the PS5 Target drop in Week 1 was massive. This was the most PS5's the retailer had sold at once. Leaks from employees that could see store distribution were seeing stores receiving multiple dozens of units, some even +100 units to a single store.
Amazon sold the Series S the whole month and placed very well at #16. There's some concern for the week to week sales as it's been sliding since the start of the year but it looks like it might be making a come back for February.
PS5 has an important update. Sony has revised down their FY forecast to 11.5M units, which would mean only 2M PS5's will be shipped this current quarter. This is down from last year's 3.3M. How Sony splits US sales this quarter could be critical as they will have 1.3M less units to work with compared to 2021. January could be impacted by this, but I suspect February and March will be harder hit. Basically, PS5 US Q1 2021 sell through sales were ~33% of the worldwide shipment (3.3M). On the flip side, Q4 2021 was over 40%. Of that 2M expected shipments, that could mean PS5 will only be working with 660K to 800K units for all of Q1 2022, assuming Sony doesn't heavily pivot to the US to fend off Xbox and ship closer to 50% here. If not, PS5 would be closer to that lower range.
