I'm taking it into consideration, and deem it to not really matter to the general audience. Mario Kart is and has always been very popular and few will care about any special features. It's the Mario gang and you hold A to reach the goal. What matters more is how popular the platform is, and Switch was very popular.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'd personally bet there's no chance Mario Kart World comes close to 8 Deluxe, because Switch 2 won't sell nearly as well as 1.
 
Wii Sports vs MK8 is a good comparison. I feel like MK8 could edge out the win.

I absolutely feel Free Roam mode will make a very big splash. Especially for the casual audience and those who don't really care for the competitive (Player vs. Player) aspect of gaming. It makes this MK even more accessible. Especially considering it has missions. Also they can (will) add more over time. Chating with friends will be great for this game as well.

Nintendo should add free roam games like hide-and-seek and follow the leader as free updates. it would give multiplayer with friends a lot more variety
