Video game stores pictures

Atlus was Alliance after all
I open this thread so that we can post pictures of the stores we visit that sell video games. I find interesting to see the kind of games they sell in other countries, the stock they carry, the space they give to the different consoles and all that.

I start with my visit today to El Corte Inglés (Palma de Mallorca, Spain).

I was curious to know if there was PlayStation 5 stock because last week was like the official relaunch of the console in Spain, it arrived a very big shipment and was possible to buy one without much trouble but that does not mean there is stock in all shops yet. You can find though PlayStation VR 2, both the standard and the one with Horizon Call of the Mountain models.

Here curiously there was 1 Xbox Series X, a few Xbox Series S, 3 PlayStation 4 and a few Nintendo Switch systems. One thing that catches my attention is that almost everywhere you can find the OLED Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition, these limited editions do not seem to have excessive interest, bad news for speculators. This model has sold around 6.000 units.

I tried to give more visibility to Octopath Traveler II, we should do everything we can in order to prevent it from flopping.

If people see it next to a number 3 perhaps the will get attracted to it and give it a chance.

Top 4 includes pac man world? I call bullshit.

Those positions usually are used for titles with a lot of stock, or maybe the employers didn't update them.

Here you have a photo with Forspoken Top 1 and Hogwarts Legacy outside the Top. (Media Markt)

Another photo with the final situation when you include too many games on PS5 monsters packs. (Game Spain)

That day they didn't have stock, but today I have visited El Corte Inglés again and they had the PlayStation 5 bundle that comes with God of War: Ragnarök.

Does that mean there's still supply problems in Spain?

This morning I have visited Carrefour.

These last 2 pictures are taken from GAME store, here we can see PlayStation 5 used game sales basket.

The only thing I can think about are if those price stickers are easy to remove from the cases lol

here in usa i dont think we really have video game stores except gamestop, which many have speculated is dying but yet has countless stores one in every strip mall. and then wal mart, target and best buy are the main general purpose retailers i can think of that also carry consoles. costco might, but it doesnt have locations near me so i dont know about them

there is one "cool" store near me, it's called game exchange I believe and is basically a retro games store. Selling used SNES, N64, PS, and every other old console and games, and you can trade in your stuff. it's a small chain.

i am sure they would be watching me and they are small so i couldnt take pics in gamestop lol. maybe in the others if i'm discrete.

i feel like overall in usa we are pretty far into brick and mortar being a struggling breed. so much sales are just online now. i do feel there may always be room for a wal mart type chain though or two.

Completely missed this thread before, that a dope idea and thanks for pictures provided so far. Maybe ill be able to add some as well in the future.

A few weeks ago, I saw Rog Ally presence on a GAME store to preorder it.
It's weird that Valve didn't try something similar with Steam Deck yet.

I mean you can only buy the SD through Steam/Valve - not many reason why retailer would be willing to showcase the device or Valve would contact them without having actual retail units for partner.

Meanwhile Asus is an established powerhouse in the hardware space already with tons of retailers already selling their hardware.
