The leaks have given us a clear picture of GP subs from 2017-22, revenue for GP and also the GP Xbox and PC split.

Here are the known slides giving us a clear breakdown:

This thread gives us the data points from the second graph:

The rest of the data is calculated using data found through other documents. I've included a source for each further data point.

I reckon a good estimate pre-Starfiled is 27-8M (22-3M Xbox, 5M PC). I also estimated SF gave a sub increase of 1-1.5M in its first Q, so ~30M seems right.

This does not include MSFT's recent naming change of Gold -> GP core. As of Apr 22 there were 11.7M Gold vs 21.9M Xbox GP.

Looks like growth flatlined in 2022. Curious to see if growth resumed any in the past 12 months.

If it still hasn't grown any, it doesn't surprise me. There's an upper limit for GP on Xbox, that being the install base of current Xbox One & Xbox Series owners & users. There's only so many people that own and use those systems that are willing and able to pay for the subscription service. At some point, growth for GP is going to have to come almost entirely from PC gamers, but they're a relatively small portion of GP subs as of last count.

Do we have data on prior Xbox Live/Gold subscriptions back in Xbox 360/Xbox One days?

I'd be curious to see the difference in Xbox consumers' subscriptions from back then to the current gen.

This can be quite misleading. This is YoY comparisons and may even be revenue based (rather than number of subs). So if an entire year was flat, then you wouldn't see it in the YoY comparisons till next year.

We already know from court testimony that GamePass had 0 growth (considering PC GP grew, this could even suggest Xbox GP declined) from Jan 2022 to Sept 2022

Before MSFT started including PC, mobile, MC MAU, Xbox console was reaching 65M MAU.
From the leaked docs, Apr 2022 was 51.3M

Can't find much on XBL Gold numbers

There was also that LinkedIn leak a month ago of over 30 million IIRC.
