The Charts in this thread (charts new to the thread in bold)
Nintendo Switch eShop charts covering the period of Oct 11 - Oct 24, 2021 for the following regions: US, CA, MX, JP, UK, FR, DE, IT

Chart methodology has been revised!
- The sales period covered by each of these regional charts is still the past two weeks.

- Also unchanged, these charts include only paid-for Nintendo Switch eShop titles. Any and all free-to-download games (including F2P titles e.g. Fortnite and cloud versions of games e.g. Control) are not included in these charts.

- Each regional chart in this thread was taken from a Nintendo Switch eShop account bound to the respective region:

• What has changed: each regional chart now contains the top 50 paid-for software titles that have been downloaded most frequently over the past two weeks in that region, regardless of whether they are download only or also have a retail presence.
• Retail sales of any titles are not taken into account in these charts.

- All charts in this thread have been retrieved on the exact same day and date (always a Sunday) in their respective region. The time of the day the charts have been retrieved may differ though.

- Game names in all charts will be the US game name (as long as one exists), regardless of chart region. While a little less "accurate", using the same game name will make it easier to compare how a game does across regions.

Seeing pre ordes of voice of cards in the Japanese eshop makes me happy. Dread also staying at the top in Japan shows that the sales are still strong after two weeks.

Metroid Dread is a worldwide hit. really glad to see it doing so well. No way this game is ending with sales total any less than 2m copies.

MPS will take it down though.

The period covered in these charts no longer includes the pre-orders and first three days of eShop sales of Metroid Dread, yet Metroid Dread is still no.1 .

Except in Mexico, that is, so we are thinking of not featuring Mexico charts in the future, or replacing @Daremo with someone who knows their job (=displaying Metroid Dread as no. 1 in Mexico as well).

Yet more proof that Mexico should be excluded is that Mario Party Superstars pre-orders are almost nowhere to be seen in that chart. While already no. 2 in US, CA, JP and DE, no. 10 in the UK and at least charting in the top 30 for FR and IT, it is only 33 in the MX chart. @Daremo, what gives?

I was so lazy just imagining preparing this top 50 that I asked ever MX GAMEr to stop purchasing Dread for a few days effectively reducing its position to the 6th, knowing it would free from the sunday eshop chart.

Simply genius.

But yeah, keep me one more week and I make it under 20 ! Beware...

Yes, I saw that (too late) and had to revise what I wrote about it not being there at all. Not as effective.

It is deserved for Metroid Dread. The game is excellent.
And yes, to echo Sky-X, there is no chance this game ends up selling less than 2 million.

Hollow Knight highest on the MX chart, confirming it s the best country so far.
Just saying...
At least is Italy trying to keep up.

In all seriousness, overall the MX eshop gets more sales on discount games then full price.
People like those sweat deals.

I'm happy to see games like Civ6 still charting.
But clearly we'll have to dive into the % discount to have the bigger picture.

Even though we are not officially including discounts on the charts yet, I feel obliged to point out that "Angel's Punishment" is currently 99% off in NA.

It's actually more surprising to me that it is absent from the US charts (whereas is present in MX and CA).

I must admit the side by side comparison is extremely useful.

Even though we are not officially including discounts on the charts yet, I feel obliged to point out that "Angel's Punishment" is currently 99% off in NA.

It's actually more surprising to me that it is absent from the US charts (whereas is present in MX and CA).

I think it's worth noting that Gang Beasts is currently at first in most Latin America Countries (MEX included, of course) because of a massive pricing mistake that made the game go a lot cheaper than in other regions.

Yeah, I said this a few times. If AC which is the biggest exclusive release release Nintendo in probably ever didn't get one. I doubt a "measly" million or 2 will get one.

Besides Super Stars, not many newcomers in the charts. Only sort of notable ones I noticed were Dying Light in the US (20) and CA (37) and Voice of Cards in Japan (22 and 47)

Dungeon Encounters remains at no. 3 in Japan, but in the middle of the week it actually went up to no. 2 for several days, the current charts (which constantly update, apparently realtime) just don't reflect that.

Depends all of US imo, with 40% for digital WW I think it has surpassed 2mil this week if not the next.

UK+Spain: 60k retail,
Japan is 109k retail.

With digital+shipments those 3 countries combined could be well over 300k with 3 weeks

So outside of US it should be close to a million imo. With US it could be a million seller there, NPD should be interesting.

Gang Beasts was released for $4.99 MXN, 0.99$ BRL and $19.99 ARS. Comparing these prices in USD to their USA release price:
United States: $29.99 USD
Mexico: $0.25 USD
Brazil: $0.18 USD
Argentina: $0.20 USD
Keep in mind that anyone with a American (America Central, North America and South America, as far as I know) credit card can buy from any of these countries and it will be even easier to understand why it is in first place.
