Hello, Everyone! I recently noticed that Nintendo Korea provides eShop Sales reports Semesterly and Yearly just like in Japan! Since I found very little coverage of this, I'm posting the previous years to at least archive the rankings. To give some context, the Nintendo Switch console was officially released in Korea on December 2017, with the official full-fledged Nintendo eShop being released on December 17, 2019. Very important to notice that you can also find Weekly Top 50 rankings reports done by our great contributor @roadrunnerto in the eShop Rankings Thread posted every week by @Pooroomoo! Nice find. Website even lists in which format each game is available (retail / digital), something that would be nice to have on the JP charts.

How weird of them to share dedicated chart for H2 2022. Another thing that would be nice to have for Japan.

Considering how confusing Nintendo Digital Only section is (listing many games that had retail releases), I wonder if that would actually work for japan 🤔 Even the Korean one have a 'trap', with Kirby's Dream Buffet being listed as a retail release, when the retail version is just a download code :p
 
Doesn't really matter if it's just a DL code, the important bit is the retail availability, which is definitely relevant (else nobody would ever bother with those "fake" retail releases). It's just some extra context.

Anyway, it's a shame NoK doesn't also share monthly charts :(
 
@ktpoison this is a brilliant resource! Thanks for pulling it together. Is it possible to make a similar thread for Japanese H1/H2/CY eShop charts like these?
 
Great information. Will be good for future data comparison for how Eshop has grown in each different region.

What I mean is that someone might get a wrong idea when they see Kirby's Dream Buffet as a retail release, because it can give the idea that the game still have Retail numbers that are not part of this chart (when retail sales of Kirby are included in this chart as well).

We currently have a eShop Archive thread similar to the Media Create one in The Archive (although it often gets submerged by other posts there), I asked Pooroomoo to update it with all the Japanese charts currently available in this forum (Monthly November 2021 ~ April 2023, etc.)
For charts that predates the forum opening, you can find a good archive in @Lite_Agent website, Perfectly Nintendo

I personally like the idea of having at least the yearly/bi-yearly/monthly (Nintendo used to report Weekly charts too) charts archived in a thread here, but I believe Lite_Agent would be a more appropriate OP since they are the one to usually post the updates in MC thread. But, as I said, Perfectly Nintendo does a great job archiving these charts already, so it isn't super necessary.
 
It's just nice to use this forum as a repository for all things, rather than always having to go off-site for certain aspects.

Having things like this from @Lite_Agent in an archived thread would be very handy indeed, especially when some of the eShop estimates are included.
