I bought in physical with artbook & a figurine of her & think about the game everytime! Congrats to Nomada Studio & I'm so excited for Neva.

Really happy for them. I loved playing through this melancholic experience, and my daughter loves it too. We'll be there day one for Neva.

Yes. They are based in Madrid but their president - Enric Álvarez - is a Catalan separatist. I know for a fact many of his employees have a rather poor opinion of him because of that (met a few people at Digipen Bilbao who had been there).

He deleted all his pro-separatist tweets around 2021/2022. There's some theories that Nintendo Spain told him to do so around the time Metroid Dread was coming out in order to avoid negative publicity; whether that's true I don't know, but the timing was definitely interesting.

Then again most Catalan separatists stopped being separatists around that time too (2021/2022) after realizing the entire thing was a scam, so it could just be a coincidence.

Wow, calm down a bit with your politics. Wanting the independence of your nation is as legit as any other ideology, which is not the topic of discussion here.

Excellent sales for GRIS, congrats to the studio! I haven't played it because it's not my type of game, but I'm glad they've found sucess!!!
 
Lovely game. A bit shallow in the gameplay department but you're in constant awe of the visuals, sound, and overall atmosphere.

Looking forward to seeing how the studio can grow from a solid foundation such as Gris. But cheers to their success.

You should so some research into the kind of hateful rethoric and methods Catalan separatists use (like calling Spanish "the language of beasts" or getting money from Putin). You'll notice I didn't criticize Basque separatism and there's a reason for that.

Regardless of the veracity of what you're saying it just came unprompted and out of nowhere while taking 95% of your post content.
If you have an axe to grind with whatever political movement you deem to be wrong in your country please don't do it there, especially as it's not the first time (and try to imagine the mess this forum would be if any poster would act like you because, as you can guess, Spain is no particular case as far as messy political landscape go)

And if it's not clear this is soft moderation and not an invite for discussion on the matter (the Community/Moderation feedback thread is there for that just in case)

I'm sure we can have a nice discussion via PM about this if you're willing to, but it's very violent for you to simply go full politics in a sales thread!

Regarding the sales of Gris, even if it has been a huge, huge success I still think that the team behind the "Commandos" games was bigger (at least at the time).
I mean, Gris is still an indie venture, while those games felt fully fledged and able to compete with the best of the industry (I was a huge fan of the 1st one and it's expansion hehehehe).
And they sold quite well if memory doesn't betray me (which happens more often than I'd like to admit XD).
