Germany - BIU/game Sales Awards Archive

I hate how secretive German sales numbers are in comparison to other European markets.
Also do we know if they approximate Digital numbers for Nintendo games or is the 600.000 purely physical? It says for Diablo but not for Zelda.

They don't include digital sales that they don't have access to.

Assuming that list is for titles between 600-700K, TOTK is comfortably above the rest once digital is accounted for.
It's 600K-1M since the next award is the 1M award.
----
Hogwarts Legacy sold 14% more than Diablo IV in Germany in H1 2023 despite the latter releasing 4 months after the former. This means Diablo IV likely sold a quite a bit faster than Hogwarts in Germany which is absolutely insane.

Ah okay thanks for clarifying! I think in that case my TOTK comment still stands, if the rest are <1M and TOTK is >600K with no digital (my expectations from EUR are 47-55% range).

And yes Diablo has been monstrous. It's long term totals will be crazy (probably 40-50M) given the type of game it is.

Sorry for my absence. I've updated the thread with all the game Sales Awards up until June. Note the new sales milestones: 400k and 600k instead of 500k.

@sebbbbe if I can ask: right now, both the milestone awards and the monthly rankings released by Game.com include digital sales as well, but we also know that the latter has been a more recent change, since the monthly charts used to include only sales via retail channel. Is there any idea on when the milestone themselves started to include digital sales as well? I'm pretty sure downloads through digital stores have been included for the milestones before their introduction in the monthly rankings, but do we have an exact month in which the introduction happened?

I'm asking this so we have a better context / perspective for comparing milestones between entries of the same series; it came to my mind seeing Jedi: Survivor crossing the 200.000 units sold milestone.

Downloads have been included since 2018, but only when publishers deliver the data themselves, it seems. And of course it's vague who participates and who doesn't.
