Evry Rankings are Retail only from 2 main sources:

GFK France / Radio France
- Published evry Sunday at 7H10 PM CEST (exept during summer and Holidays)
- Individual formats Top 10 rank by units sold.
- no bundles are include on these rankings

GSD / SELL
- Published evry Monday.
- Individual formats Top 5 rank by revenue.
- Top 3 rank by revenue for each platforms.

About GFK Methodologie:

• Data are collected by the GFK in food hypermark (E.Leclecrd, Carrefour,...), specialized stores (FNAC, Virgin, Cultura, etc.), mail order sales and internet sales (Amazon, Cdiscount,...). These data does not include sales at newsstands or gas stations. The rental and sale of second-hand games are not taken into account.
• Weekly GFK rankings are based on units sales.
• Boxes containing several games together as part of a promotional offer as well as boxes containing one or severall games group with a video game console, called "bundles", are not taken into account in software data.
• Boxes containing a code instead of a disk or a catrige, called "code in abox" or are not taken into account in software data. (they are considered as accesories)
• GFK coverage of the retail market was estimate at 99% in May 2010.

About GSD Methodologie:

• Data are collected by GSD in food hypermark, specialized stores, mail order sales and internet sales like GFK altrough coverage is smaller.

My current guess is after Switch 2 reveal.

Nintendo Interviews always happened sometime in January or at worst early february.

Regarding to the full yearly report from SELL since few years it seams to happened in March.
It will be the same month as the complete UK yearly report btw.

[NSW] 0.7M / 0.9M / 8.7M
[XBS] 0.1M / 0.2M / 0.8M

Total - 1.8M / 2.4M

Switch (Europe):

2021: -6%
2022: -15%
2023: -10%
2024: -15%

Switch (France):

2021: -14%
2022: -24%
2023: -10%
2024: between -15% and -20%

We will see if Switch at 0.7M is confirmed by Nintendo.

Now that Switch 2 have been reveal, I think Nintendo Interview will be done next week.

So before Nintendo here it is more a more in-dephs graph about Xbox.

Oscarlemaire just confirm on blusky that less Xbox Series were sold in France last year than in Japan.

Quant à la Xbox Series, bah voilà quoi. Après, ça reste bien mieux que la période Xbox One et notez que la Xbox Series a fait plus de ventes au Japon qu’en France en 2024.

Based on this, eu reports, and my own estimates, I created this graph which compiles Xbox console sales in France by year since 2001:

With around 100k consoles sold last year, 2024 was the worst year ever for Microsoft hardware.
Never in their history Microsoft sold less than 150k consoles in a year.

Even though Microsoft has confirmed several times that they are working on a new generation of consoles, I really wonder if they still really intend to invest in hardware and not let the brand slowly die and finally withdraw from the market.

The end of the year was particularly poor in terms of communication. There were no offers for Black Friday and the new models were released really discreetly.
There was no bundle for COD which is a big mistake especially for an episode which sold very well in France (at least at retail). For a console that is supposed not to be replaced before 2026, this is not normal.

The main communication campaign was the "this is an Xbox" which did not really help their consoles by drowning them in the middle of many options (and imo this campaign potentially created confusion for the uninitiated).

Nintendo is a slighty late for the Interview compared to usual.

When I first see the chart I was puzzled by KCD2 being so low untill I found it's releasing only on the following week (W6).

A similar case happened for Hogwarts Legacy Switch version and Space Marine 2.

Now that I think of it, maybe if GFK ranking was showing exact numbers we would see things like this very often:
