Hogwarts Legacy likely sold more in France than UK at retail at launch and during the followings weeks.

I assume it is going to be the same for the rest of Europe, but given the popularity of the game on Switch, it should boost it even further once the trial period ends.

Looking at the Tweet, I just realized it is called in French "Édition Essentielle", meaning "Essential Edition", which is kind of misleading imo to those not in the know (?), as opposed to the clearer "Legacy Edition".

French users will correct me if I'm wrong, but "Essentielle" basically mean bare-bones lol

I read French, nothing in the above (Larousse) says bare bones. You could argue that something that is essential could be bare bones, but I would think that is not the implication for most, the no. 1 explanation for example is
"Qui est indispensable pour que quelque chose existe" = which is absolutely necessary for something to exist.

indipendently from its actual contents

Do people think that EA Sports FC 23 on Switch is gonna be a new and improved version or just a carry over of FIFA 18? If not then we'll have to wait until Switch 2.

I'll let you choose, which one makes more sense:

1. The trial is in order to get a maximum number from the Switch audience to familiarize themselves with the FIFA games, because the next version will be a non-legacy one (!!!)

2. The trial is in order to get even more income from a crap version

Based on past EA behavior, I definitely choose 2 (the minimum effort on Nintendo platforms path).

It's a shame. I'm a FIFA fan and ofc buy it on PS4 but I'd happily also buy it on Switch if it was more competent.

    Samus Aran keeps winning and frankly, it's deserved.

    Metroid Prime remastered is as amazing as the original.

    Either way, it is completely sold out in France (tried to get one copy this week for a birthday gift).

    My own copy, ordered before launch on Amazon, has still not shipped. So it is doing as good as it can at retail.

    I know that Nintendo does really well in most countries, but their performance in France always seems to be the next best after Japan. It's great to see Metroid having amazing legs!
