Those are some great numbers! love to see it.

Was it $60 on release?. It's been 40-50% plenty of times during the year which surely helped the sales spike last year.

Physical discounts also went steeper than digital (they usually do for massmarket games).

PS5/Xbox is pretty in-line with digital, PS4 had some deeper sales though.
Is this standard for last gen SKUs?

Almost caught up to MHW as the best selling non Nintendo Japanese game ever.

Just a 1.1m gap.

Crazy impressive. Can't wait for the DLC.

Joins like ranks of Monster Hunter World and maybe soon Palworld.

Maybe even Final Fantasy XIV depending how that 27 million number breaks down.

Please include transcripts.

The FF14 total I believe includes those that did free trials and is just an account total in general. Actual people playing and buying it would be far less.

FFXIV its in 30 millions now.

Hogwarts Legacy its probably 25 millions now too

30M this year is possible. Impressive considering the price. In a few years it's going to join The Witcher 3 and Skyrim in the 50M club. EDIT: From Software sales are not as good as before Elden Ring. I'm not so sure. Dark Souls 3:

Massive, would never imagine that the series becoming that big when i was playing Dark Souls 1

So they shipped around 3.5m additional copies since the DLC released?

I expected more tbh but it's still an outrageous overall number.

What is impressive is average price is likely double or triple that of Witcher 3. Which sold millions after bargain bin prices.

~37mil as reported by Bandai of March this year which excludes domestic sales by FromSoft.
37.33m to be exact. With Japan I'd expect things comfortably over 40m today.

ER sales are just incredible though, a real BOTW moment. It'd going to clear 30m easily and might even pass 40m. Really curious how Nightreign does.

Yeah, I’ve only seen it get a price cut a couple of times. Hoping for the inevitable Switch 2 port it gets a price cut before too long.

Going by history, all old games ported to Switch 2 will probably be sold at the same price as brand new games, going by what the likes of Persona 5, Dark souls and Skyrim did.

Hmmm. I was thinking that Elden Ring might be able to outsell the entire Dark Souls series combined, but that might be an unrealistic expectation

Still, it's possible! We'll find out in another couple of years. A Switch 2 version would definitely help

Yeah but those games also got healthy sales semi-frequently.

Not bad, I'd say!
This is an industry event, even more so for a Japanese developed game, isn't it?
and I bet the Switch 2 port will boost the sales even more

30 million units is such a massive success. Wow.

Wonder how it'll do it on Switch 2 - I'm sure there's gonna be a pretty good boost.

Wow... what a accomplishment. Truly a evergreen title. I am very curious to see what single player titles Fromsoft has coming & how they will perform.

Seeing " Isthereanydeal " , The lowest the game had gotten in terms of price is 49% off even including Official PC resellers like Humble or Greenmangaming , they hadn't even cross 50% discount after all those years

40M will come pretty quickly when factoring in the renewed interest due to Nightreign, the Switch 2 port and Duskbloods releasing next year.

I swear I thought it already hit 30 million, and then I see I already posted in this thread, lol

Coming up on Breath Of The Wild's numbers (34 million between Switch and Wii U SKUs)

People really doubted it could do these numbers before launch but I had faith, all the metrics were there

Doesn't even need to be said that the game deserves every sale, Fromsoftware the GOATs
