according to Nvidia, 80% of RTX owners turn on DLSS. honestly not surprising, because, why wouldn't you? it's performance for very little costs
DLSS/DLAA is also a pretty effective AA method, much better than 99% of TAA implementations.

Man. Square’s staggered, random release strategy, coupled with the uncertainty of each release (each game is radically different than the last) is god-awful by comparison.
Where do you see the CCU for the full release? Can't see it on SteamDB since they don't own the advances access copy of game.Dynasty Warriors: Origins new CCU record - 16,244
96% Steam rating with 906 reviews. Up 1 percent from yesterday when I took the snapshot, looks like the game will be stable and around the 95-97% Steam rating. That's great for the game.
As far as CCU goes, not a huge increase from yesterday, but I wouldn't expect this to be the case.
Most people who would buy a more expensive SKU for Advanced Access would be there Day 1.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins Demo daily CCU peak - 2,871
Yesterday was 2,485, good sign for the weekend.

Rebirth is Steam Deck verified!
Rebirth is Steam Deck verified!
What a great start to the week! We're excited to announce that we've sold over 500,000 copies of Stronghold: Definitive Edition. We're so happy you all enjoyed it as much as you did, and long may the good times at Firefly Studios continue...![]()
Sometimes it’s hard to separate my fandom from my analytical brain, but I just want this game to succeed so badly. It was so far beyond my expectations and deserves success. I hope they can figure out a way to get part 3 day/date on every single platform available. The moment Rebirth got Steam Deck verified, it immediately jumped about 5 places in the sales charts and into the top 10.

On this note - has anyone ever tried to ballpark typical weekly/monthly Steam Deck hardware sales using the combination of it's chart position and cost relative to other software that might disclose sales numbers? As far as I can see, even by the least generous estimates (e.g. assuming all sales are of the most expensive model), they'd still be selling 1 Steam Deck for every 9 units of a $60 game sold around its position in the top seller list, which seems very healthy? The moment Rebirth got Steam Deck verified, it immediately jumped about 5 places in the sales charts and into the top 10.
505 Tweeted today was a big day and people were thinking it was a tease of Switch 2 but they were actually talking about Assetto Corsa DDDDD:Assetto Corsa EVO current Day 1 CCU record - 25,752
58% Steam Rating with 93 reviews, most citing rough performance.
This is still an all-time CCU count for the franchise but that number could've been much higher.
Looks like the hunt of a well performing racing sequel continues....
GT7 PC port by Nixxes when?
Heroes of Hammerwatch II CCU record - 8,665
This game is will peak higher today and possibly during the weekend, so it'll get added on the list near the end.
This is a small franchise by Crackshell that has seen many releases: https://steamdb.info/developer/Crackshell/
Highest CCU count achieved with this release.
-----
Dynasty Warriors: Origins did not hit a new CCU record today but the Demo did peak slightly higher than yesterday.
-----
JRPGs have been known to have decent playrate through Steam Deck, so that doesn't surprise me.
The answer... Yes!Will those (myself inclused) that predicted a 50k+ CCU peak be vindicated?
What exclusivity deal are you referring to, and what game(s) does that apply to? It certainly doesn't apply to DW Origins nor Wo Long.Very surprised by DW's performance and seeing those wo long numbers I wonder if KT are kicking themselves for signing an exclusivity deal with Sony.
'Dynasty Warriors is already tracking considerably higher than yesterday. I think this will easily break Koei Tecmo's record on Steam.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins Day 2 - 63,799 - NEW CCU RECORD
I KINDA was expecting a better record on a saturday but this is still a great result overall
Dynasty Warriors: Origins new CCU record - 69,483
94% Steam Rating with 4,557 reviews.

All-time peak in sight for this edition.
At first I thought there must have been a major mod release but in fact this appears to be new users buying in during a historic low sale? Absolutely wild.Skyrim Special Edition

Similarly 15 days from release KCD2 is #10, we're in for a several really strong weeks for Steam.3 days before release and FFVII Rebirth has moved into #4 on the Steam global charts, sans the F2P and Hardware entries. Remake Intergrade is also sitting at #17 as well.
People said that KCD2 started dropping because of all the talk about that thingSimilarly 15 days from release KCD2 is #10, we're in for a several really strong weeks for Steam.
AMD's next gpus will release in March. What a disastrous launch. Can their marketshare even go lower?Radeon 9000 series hardware and software are looking great and we are planning to have a wide assortment of cards available globally. Can’t wait for gamers to get their hands on the cards when they go on sale in March!
AMD's next gpus will release in March. What a disastrous launch. Can their marketshare even go lower?
The general consensus, based in parts on retailers having these cards already and outlets at CES having the gpu info AMD didn't give in the keynote, is they have royally messed up the pricing and offering in comparison to Nvidia's 5070.2 months away, yet they didn't go in-depth at their keynote because?
I don't think so? the 20-50 hour previews of KCD 2 that came out not very long ago were pretty much all glowing with praise.People said that KCD2 started dropping because of all the talk about that thing

I wonder if Sony remembers Spider Man 2 is launching in less than two weeks.
I'm not sure exactly what metric you're using, but if you're going to talk about overall impact, on the most recent weekly Steam global top sellers list, KCD 2 was #20. The week before that it was #75. The week before that it was not in the top 100.KCD 2 actually slipped to the low 20s for a couple of dayse after staying at around 13-15 the week prior.
There was a noticeable dip for a few days for a title that should've climbing as its release date gets ever closer.
It's impossible to know how many people might've cancelled their pre-orders in that same timeframe.

Something in the last few days that I've missed:
This launch back in November 2023, so 14 months for 500K.
Now if we only could see some modest successes when it comes to brand new RTS games...![]()
Performance numbers have been all over the place. And with not-final drivers at that. And while, at best, the numbers are good, there's still the issue to how much meat is on the bone for AMD (and retailers). If the issue is that retailers overpaid relative to the benchmarks in comparison to Nvidia, then lots of people are going to be unhappy. Hell, the chip size is, allegedly, on the large side despite the fact this isn't a top end product. Margins might be nonexistent nowehh? around a couple weeks ago when i was paying attention, leaked scores and the like, AMD new gen looked possibly like a strong value and more powerful than expected. guess i will check around again..
